OUR CHARTER

Charter Agreement

As the leadership team has prayed, planned and discussed the mission of this ministry, we have chosen to frame it in the terms of a “Charter.” The reason for this is simple: when the People of God have faced times of decision, they have crystallized those times with documenting those decisions.  We see this in the books of Moses, in the struggles of Ezra and Nehemiah, in the reforms of Malachi, in the various reformations and rebellions in medieval Europe, and we see them in the beginnings of our country. Covenants, Testaments, Contracts, Constitutions, Charters – when the People of God have made commitments to seek the freedoms promised by God, they have often memorialized those decisions in writing. This Charter is another document in that long tradition of commemorating God’s people seeking His freedom.

When we look back at the founding of our nation, a few key words have come to mind: Liberty, Truth, Unity. These and similar words ring in our collective memories as honest and important words. Words that have shaped and formed a country dedicated to freedom.

But as we look at our country today we see that Liberty is frequently turned to bondage, Truth is regularly buried in lies, and Unity is often forgotten in the throes of division. We are truly a nation that is desperately off course.

We at Pinions Christian Charter believe the time has come for a course correction, and we are asking you to join us. This is no small thing we are asking. We are asking you to join us in building a community of like-minded people to build a tomorrow focused on eternity. A tomorrow focused on Liberty, Truth, and Unity where we are bound together under the banner of Jesus Christ our King. As with the People of God in the past, we are asking you to show this commitment to change by agreement in writing.

The following preamble to our school Charter is framed after the Mayflower Compact, the first English document that joined people together on this continent. This Compact was drafted and penned in serious times. In adapting this preamble to our school’s Charter, we acknowledge that we too are in serious times. Please join us in the following Charter:

IN THE NAME OF GOD, we, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Sovereign, the Lord King Jesus Christ, by the Grace of God, residents of the United States of America, specifically, the Great State of Idaho, having undertaken for the Glory of God, for the advancement of the Christian faith, and the honor of our King and Country, do by this Charter, solemnly and mutually, in the Presence of God and one another, covenant and combine ourselves together for our better preservation of our faith and country’s posterity and for the furtherance of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, promise with all due submission and obedience to be bound together by the Charter that follows:

  • We agree that the Holy Bible, the thirty-nine books of the Old Testament and the twenty-seven books of the New Testament, to be the only written, revealed Word of God.

  • We agree that the God of the Holy Bible, YHWH, is the Creator of the universe, and has existed in three Persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit since before time began.

  • We agree that God the Father, is Love, is Spirit, sent His only begotten Son, Jesus to save mankind from their sin, is the author of all that is good, is waiting to send His Son Jesus again at the proper time, and, through Christ, has adopted Christians as His children.

  • We agree that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the only begotten Son of the Father and the Son of the Godhead – that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, crucified for the sins of mankind, died, was buried, resurrected from the dead on the third day, that He ascended to heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father awaiting the day where He will judge the living and the dead.

  • We agree that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Godhead. He is the Comforter sent by the Son into the world to convict the world of the sin, to come alongside Christians in their struggle, to speak for us when we do not know what to say or pray and to live in us to seal us in the new life we have in our King, Jesus Christ.

  • We agree that mankind is doomed by the impact of sin in the universe and saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ.

  • We agree that the aforesaid Holy Bible defines our Kingdom worldview, dictates our decision-making, and is the final authority for our lives.

  • We agree that the return of Christ is real, physical, and imminent.

  • We agree the best use of our time, resources, energy, minds, and strength is to prepare ourselves and future generations for the return of Christ by learning how to love God as the Bible teaches.

  • We agree that parents, not institutes of education, are the primary educators of the children and, as such, will stand before God for the education of their child.

  • We agree that the paid members of Pinions Christian Charter (PCC) will adhere to this Charter and to their responsibilities as outlined in the attached policy manual. Volunteer and unpaid members will adhere to this Charter and attached Volunteer Policy Manual.

  • We agree that color, and national or ethnic origin have no bearing on admittance to the Kingdom of Christ or to this Charter’s membership.

  • We agree that this Charter is a private agreement protected by “freedom of association” rights as described in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, U.S. Constitution, and equivalent provisions of various State Constitutions. As such, our Charter activities are restricted to private domain only and are outside the jurisdiction of government entities, agencies, officers, agents, contractors, and other representatives as provided by law.

  • We agree that all members of PCC have the basic right to decide for themselves which Charter members could be expected to give wise counsel and advice concerning all matters including, but not limited to, education, physical, spiritual, and mental health care assistance, law and any other matter. We agree to accept from those members any and all counsel, advice, tips, etc. from whom we feel we are able to properly advise and assist us and will hold no member of the Charter liable for said advice or assistance.

  • We agree that the members of PCC are best equipped to decide for themselves the means to receive proper and correct medical diagnoses, treatment, and prevention. Further, we believe members of this Charter are able to choose any medical assistance regarding law or private business activity.

  • We agree that membership to the PCC and any of its groups may be terminated by the Charter Board, as outlined in the policy manual

  • We agree that policy, budget, and operation decisions will be made by the Charter Board.

  • We agree that the Charter is protected by the First and Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and is outside the jurisdiction and authority of Federal and State agencies and authorities concerning any and all complaints or grievances against the Charter members, paid or otherwise. All rights of complaints or grievances will be settled by paid staff of the Charter or the Charter Board. By agreeing to this Charter, you agree that you understand this is the action you want to take for yourself.

  • We agree and understand that our activities within the Charter are a private, contractual matter that we refuse to share with Local, State, or Federal investigative or enforcement agencies. We further agree not to pursue any course of legal action against a fellow member of PCC unless that member has exposed me or one of my immediate family members to a clear and present danger of known and measurable evil, and upon the recommendation and approval of the Charter Board.

  • We agree to join this Charter which unites us in the above-listed purposes and definitions; that this is a private membership association under common law, whose members seek to help each other pursue a better life.

  • We enter into this agreement with no outside motivation or coercion. We state that we are truly private individuals and not acting for any outside agencies. We have fully read, understand, and agree with this Charter. We understand we can withdraw from this Charter at any time. We further understand our membership to this Charter can be terminated if Charter Board determines we have violated the terms of this Charter policy manual.

I/we agree that this is a binding agreement and that I/we are joining Pinions Christian Charter. By signing I declare that I/we have read and understand this Charter.
